Spray Park & Playground Closed at Municipal Park

We heard our residents, and have installed sun shades at the spray park!

We are in the process of installing sun shades at the playground as well. The attached drawing (click here) is an aerial concept of what the structure will look like and cover (Section A was removed from the approval).

Because of the heavy equipment and large footings needed for this work, the spray park will be closed starting tomorrow, May 30th through Saturday, June 1st. The spray park will reopen at 10am on Sunday, June 2nd. Additionally, the playground area will be closed from tomorrow, May 30th through Tuesday, June 4th.

We will provide updates if there are any changes to the schedule for closure. We thank you for your patience and cooperation while the upgrades are installed.

The Bristol Township Department of Parks and Recreation oversees 32 designated park areas, featuring 27 playgrounds, a spray park, amphitheater, pavilions, a synthetic turf field, numerous athletic fields, basketball courts, and walking paths.

A variety of youth, adult, and senior programming is available throughout the year, including youth Summer Camp, e-gaming leagues, recreational athletic leagues and tournaments, festivals and special events, and more.

Department staff also provides support to the volunteers of the Environmental Advisory Committee, the Bristol Township Senior Center, and numerous civic associations throughout the Township.

Operational Hours: Weekdays

Mondays and Tuesday: 10 am – 4 pm*

* We are still in need of a spray park attendant for Monday and Tuesday evenings. Once we have a qualified attendant for these evening hours, we will expand to evenings hours on these days*

Wednesday through Friday: 10 am – 8pm

Weekends: 10 am - 4 pm

**Splash Pad may be on and running outside of these hours for maintenance and operation checks. The splash pad is open to the public for use at the above hours only**

The Splash Pad is a supervised public facility. This facility may be closed at any time due to inclement weather, staffing issues, maintenance, or other operational concerns.

*Reservations are required if you have 10 or more coming to the park.

PLAY SAFE & ENJOY!

Children under the age of 15 must have adult supervision.
Swim diapers are required for any child in regular diapers.
Patrons engaging in horse play or foul language will be asked to leave.
Keep glass containers, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and in-line skates off the Splash Pad.
Wheelchairs are welcome.
No food, drink, gum, or pets allowed on or near the Splash Pad.
No bathing. The Splash Pad is designed for recreation purposes only. Soaps, detergents, and shampoos are prohibited.
No Smoking or Vaping is permitted in the Splash Pad, Municipal Park or any other Park in Bristol Township.

Weather:

• The Splash Park will not open if the temperature is below 70 degrees F.

• The Splash Park will be cleared if lightning is seen and/or thunder is heard.

• To re-open, it must be lightning free for 20 minutes.

*Field Trips and Large Groups: Field Trips and Groups of more than 10 people must be arranged a minimum of 1 week in advance.

Group Ticket Requests - A group is considered any gathering of 10 or more people for teh sole purpose of using the splash pad and park. A request must be coordinated through the Parks and Recreation office.

Group Tickets: $3 per person regardless of residency status (children under 12 months are free) - see below for details.

Group Information: The Splash Pad is not a party facility. A group ticket purchase does not guarantee tables or allow for party set-ups. The tables are for public use and may not be "saved" or reserved but can be used on a first-come, first-served basis.

A limited number of group ticket opportunities are available for specific dates and times. Only one group ticket reservation will be allowed per date/time.
Group ticket maximum is 30 (adults included). A minimum of one adult for every 10 children is required for supervision.
Group ticket requests are handled directly through the Parks & Recreation office and the form must be submitted at least one week ahead of the requested ticket date.
Group Ticket Request Form - Send an email to bmorris@bristoltownship.org to request a fillable pdf form or come to the Parks & Recreation office to complete a paper copy. Submitted request forms will be reviewed in the order they are received and approved requests will be finalized on a first-paid basis.
